But it stressed that the management of the co-op's milk processing, consumer foods and agri-trading divisions, which will continue to operate from Mitchelstown and Mallow, are not involved in this review. Dairygold said it is engaged in a thorough re-engineering review of its back office processes to improve the value add that the functions deliver.

The review is aimed at eliminating problems arising from the co-op's widely dispersed back-office administration and support operations. At present Dairygold's administration and support functions are spread across 13 office locations, eight in Mitchelstown and five in Mallow. The co-op said the review is aimed at establishing the best possible and most cost effective processes and structure for Dairygold's back office administration systems.
