Ireland: Farmers should not let themselves be brow-beaten into accepting that lower milk prices are the only way forward, the IFA warned.

Dairy Committee chairman Michael Murphy said co-ops had a duty of care to their suppliers to look at every avenue to make savings instead of going for the easy option of milk price adjustments which farmers cannot afford.

“Co-ops owe it to their suppliers, and also to secure their milk supplies, to leave no stone unturned to deliver viable milk prices at this time.”
