DAIRYGOLD'S 170 transport staff, whose division is earmarked for privatisation, have been offered a support package from the company's internal enterprise support unit, which includes counselling.

A company spokesman stressed it was just a part of the facilitation process set up to help and advise those workers who were interested in setting up their own businesses.

"Counselling is available for people who want to talk through what the change in their lives involves and specialists have been engaged to provide that service for them," he said.
