Live exports on the increase

Live exports of cattle are continuing to increase, marking a significant recovery in the live trade for both calves and young stock for the year to date.

Total exports for the year to mid-June, amounted to 100,673 head, almost three fold on the same period last year.

There has been a good recovery in the trade for calves to Holland and Spain and a relatively strong demand for store animals from feed, lots in Spain and Italy.
