Spanish very competitive

THE lamb trade has been holding firm over the past week with an improvement in prices on offer at some factories.

Base prices are quoted at 353 and back to 342 cent/kg (126p-122p/lb), which is up by 6 cents/kg (2p/lb) on last week at some factories, while others are unchanged.

In the marts, the trade was a little easier where large numbers were on offer; other centres reported a firm trade continuing.
