It’s Punchestown for me over the next two days, with the battle between Hurricane Fly and Jezki in tomorrow’s Morgiana Hurdle likely to prove the big talking point of the weekend.

I head to Naas this afternoon for three rides, none of them representing Willie Mullins.

This weekend promises plenty, as Willie Mullins takes the wraps off some of his better horses, with an ease in the ground finally arriving.

I’m sure most people are delighted with the mild and dry weather we have been experiencing for a while now, but for those of us in the racing game, at least the National Hunt end of things, it is really annoying.

I go to Cork tomorrow to ride two horses, the first of them being Bosman Rule for Willie Mullins.

It’s great to be back again. I’ve been riding out since before Listowel but wasn’t fit enough to ride then. I got the all clear 10 days ago and have had three rides since then, which, thankfully, all won.

I absolutely adore Royal Ascot and am very much looking forward to the next few days.

The season concludes today and I’m hoping to go out on the best possible note and guide Annie Power to victory in the Champion Hurdle for mares.

I doubt there is a racing fan that will want to miss the battle between Hurricane Fly and Jezki in the Champion Hurdle at Punchestown today.

It’s all systems go for the start of Punchestown today and I will arrive in a positive frame of mind, after making a successful comeback aboard Un de Sceaux at Auteuil on Saturday.
