Cork-based firm ScanInsights has won the prestigious ‘Start-Up Innovator of the Year Award’ at the Enterprise Ireland Innovation Arena competition at this year's National Ploughing Championships for its innovative technology, which uses artificial intelligence to give real-time information on bovine scanning.

The top prize, which included €10,000, was presented by Enterprise Ireland chief executive Jenny Melia at a special ceremony during the National Ploughing Championships. Other finalists in the ‘Start-Up of the Year’ category were SM Advanced Technologies, and VetPal.
