The speakers are fairly light and cheaply built with a plastic case. The front of one of the speakers has a large knob that doubles for power and volume. On the top of the same speaker is a touch control button for turning the RGB lights on and off.
The Javv features a ring of colourful RGB lighting around the two drivers on the left and right speakers. These light up with vibrant RGB colours, adding a dynamic visual element to your gaming setup.
Setting up the Javv is a breeze. Thanks to the integrated USB and aux cables, all you need to do is plug them into your PC or laptop, and you're good to go. The speakers are powered via the USB-A cable. I used a MacBook Pro for testing, so I had to use a dongle since it doesn’t have a USB-A port. However, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack, so there is no need to worry about getting sound to the speakers.
There is no need for a power adaptor, so you can easily move these speakers around and game anywhere. Their compact design also means they will only take up a little space on your desk, leaving room for other gaming peripherals.
Regarding audio quality, the Javv are an upgrade to the built-in speakers of many laptops or monitors. They deliver clear and balanced sound across various genres of music, making them suitable for gaming and multimedia use. While they may not offer the deep bass of a dedicated subwoofer, the overall sound quality is more than satisfactory for the price.
