Around 130 accounts targeted in Twitter hack, social network says

Some 130 accounts were affected by a hack on Twitter earlier this week which formed part of an apparent cyber scam, the social network has revealed.

Former US president Barack Obama, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and rapper Kanye West were among the high-profile accounts affected on Wednesday evening, leading to questions about Twitter’s security defences.
