Nintendo Joy-Con Grip won't charge controllers

The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Grip, an accessory that can be used to hold two Joy-Con controllers in a manner similar to traditional gamepads, does not charge Joy-Con controllers.

The accessory comes with every Nintendo Switch console but does not feature a rechargeable function for the controllers.

Owners who want to charge their Joy-Con controllers while using the console will instead need to purchase a separate accessory, the Joy-Con Charging Grip, which is priced at $29.99 on the Nintendo Switch website.
