In brief Facebook have changed their security settings so that now when young people (under 18) want to sign up for the social media the parents can help setting up the account for them.

They have enhanced safety tips, information like how to block inappropriate sites, how to add the people you actually know and other bits of information like that.

They also have an extensive guideline for how to deal with cyber bullying and abuse which happens all too frequently on the site.
