Minecraft going cross-platform on consoles and PC

Minecraft is just about the biggest thing ever- not quite but its getting there. The massively successful game still sells millions of copies a year and it's about to get even better.

Minecraft going cross-platform on consoles and PC

That's because it was just announced that the game is getting proper cross-platform play. That means you'll be able to be in a session on your Xbox One (for example) and play with others on PC and even mobile. It's not clear if the PS4 is in this mix just yet, as Sony has previously been hesitant to get involved in cross-platform programmes.

It's all good news for gamers who have friends with other systems, and could be the first step towards seeing more cross-over between the various consoles, PCs and smartphones.
