Sony has “a number of new PlayStation announcements” to make later today and while the event itself is for the media, you can also tune in to catch all the news live.

The PlayStation event gets underway at 8pm tonight. You can watch the event on Twitch, which is embedded below for convenience, or on the PlayStation Blog. You can of course access Twitch through your PS4 too.

Sony is expected to officially unveil the PS4 Slim, even though it’s already been on sale in some CEX outlets, and its new PS4, the PS4 Neo. The latter will supposedly feature a newer processor and graphics chip, which should result in a bit more oomph under the hood and enable the console to cater better for VR.
