Samsung Galaxy Note 7 faces stock shortages

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 only recently released to great acclaim but it seems there are going to be some stock shortages on the way.

Samsung has confirmed that shipments of the new phablet have been delayed. Apparently this is so the company can perform some additional tests to make sure the devices meet their strict quality control levels.

Reuters speculates that the delay could be due to reports of battery issues in early handsets which have been having explosive side effects. That's certainly something the company would want to investigate before the problem rolls out worldwide.
