Samsung Galaxy S7 will have an always-on display
Twitter leaker Eldar Murtazin took to the social media platform to say, "What is the difference between S7 from the S6...? The first screen is on and shows the information almost always (always on ;)".
A trademark application was spotted earlier this month that mentioned a feature called "Always on Display," but it was thought that it would be too tight for it to feature in Samsung's upcoming flagships.
It's still unclear as to how this always-on display will work, but if this rumour is accurate, we'll find out next week at Mobile World Congress.
Samsung isn't the only smartphone manufacturer that will be showing off an always-on display at Mobile World Congress. LG previously revealed that the LG G5 will feature an always-on display that will show the date, time, and a handful of notifications. This, it says, will save battery as you won't be turning your screen on and off constantly.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge on February 21st.
