You could soon pay real money for ammo in Destiny
It has recently been rumoured that developers Bungie won't be releasing a full sequel in 2016 as planned, instead focussing on lucrative DLC packs like The Taken King. A recent report also suggested that there might be some changes being made to microtransactions in the game and more news is emerging on that front.
VG247 has news from a source with knowledge of the project that you will soon be able to spend real world money to top up your ammo reserves in Destiny. It's an interesting move, making it simple for players to stock up when they're hurrying out to a raid. If the pricing is kept low it could be a handy addition to the markets already in the game, where you can use free currency to pick up new cosmetic and functional items.
Of couse it's also unavoidable that it's yet another way for Bungie and Activision to farm more money out of players, many of whom have already bought an expensive base game as well as several premium DLC packs. We'll have to wait and see how the news goes down with the faithful if it is confirmed as true.
