Horror fans know that it's really hard to find a good film in that most elusive of genres. Well a future classic is set for release later this year in the form of The Witch. Here's the latest trailer.

Robert Eggers' first feature is a startlingly well-made period tale of a family who is forced to live far from civilisation. When mysterious events start to happen, they rally to their faith but there's something in the woods which might be stronger and stranger than their god.

The Witch is that rare combination of perfect subject matter, amazing production design and strong performances, creating a sense of unease which pervades through every frame of the picture. It's deeply unsettling and one to watch out for if you're a horror fan.

The Witch is set for release in March 2016.
