Far Cry Primal takes us back to the Stone Age

After an extended tease, during which the element of surprise was ruined, Ubisoft announced Far Cry Primal.
Far Cry Primal takes us back to the Stone Age

The game will be set in the Stone Age, as the stream of cave paintings hinted at. Players will be armed with spears and arrows, but there will be just as much hunting to be done. This time, mammoths and sabretooth tigers will be on the agenda.

Players will take on the role of the last survivor of their hunting group. With humans at the bottom of the food chain, it’ll be up to you “to learn to craft a deadly arsenal, fend off fierce predators, and outsmart enemy tribes to conquer the land of Oros and become the Apex Predator." We get a glimpse at one of these rival tribes in the trailer.

Far Cry Primal’s pre-orders will reportedly come with the "The Legend Of The Mammoth Mission Pack." Ubisoft doesn’t detail what that includes, but Best Buy’s website says that it features “three exclusive Mammoth Missions." Now the question is, “What are Mammoth Missions?”

Far Cry Primal will be released on February 23rd, 2016.
