There's a Mass Effect Theme Park ride in the works

Mass Effect is about to become a theme park ride.

Yes you read that correctly - EA's blockbuster action RPG series is going to be turned into an attraction, likely some kind of motion simulator thing with 4D features. So something you'll sit in with projected images and things that rock and shake and blow water in your face.

It's being put together by EA at the Great America park in California, as part of their Action Theatre section of attractions. Previous rides have included the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D and Dinosaurs Giants of Patagonia but this will be the first video game themed one. It will basically be a 3D movie coupled with a live performer that will lead audiences through a wild adventure in the Mass Effect universe.
