Skype was down but now it's back

Microsoft’s Skype messaging service had a bit of downtime yesterday but reports suggest its all back up and running

If you were trying to connect with friends and loved ones on Skype yesterday you may have run into a spot of bother, as some users were reporting they were unable to make voice calls on Monday evening. That’s a pretty major problem for a product which is really all about making calls, so Microsoft was on the problem immediately.

As of midnight last night, the company reported that all services were back up and running. The error was showing some users that all of their contacts were offline, despite the other party being connected to the service. Group messaging was also effected and the issue in general arose from a problem with the status part of Skype.
