Many Apple users have requested the option to delete some of the unnecessary chaff that comes bundled on their devices. And it turns out that Apple is listening.

Apple might let you remove iOS' default apps

In an interview with Buzzfeed, Apple CEO Tim Cook recognised that users want to have more control over the apps that take up space on their devices. However, he says that giving people the freedom to delete pre-installed apps is a bit more complicated than many might think.

ā€œThere are some apps that are linked to something else on the iPhone,ā€ he said. ā€œIf they were to be removed they might cause issues elsewhere on the phone.ā€
