Bethesda has two pieces of good news for Fallout fans. Fallout 4 won’t have a level cap, and you’ll be free to explore the game’s world after you’ve finished the story.

This makes a welcome change from Fallout 3 and New Vegas when players had to scratch that exploration itch before the finale or miss out on what else the world had to offer. Well, that or have a pre-endgame save to load up so that they could get the best of both worlds.

Bethesda tweeted, “To our fans who’ve asked: Fallout 4 doesn’t end when the main story is over and there is no level cap. You can keep playing and leveling.”
