Web Summit 2015 brings OnePlus Oculus and Tinder talent to Ireland!
And they’ve got some major industry players set to attend this year, especially with the annoucement of several new guests from immensely successful companies like Tinder, Oculus and OnePlus.
The CEO and founder of OnePlus will be on hand - Peter Lau and his company have been taking the smartphone market by storm worldwide since they launched the OnePlus One in 2014. Now the OnePlus 2 is getting ready for launch and with amazing specs and a low price its going to put a lot of pressure on other phone brands.
Sean Rad is the co-founder and president of Tinder, responsible for creating the immensely popular app which helps you find a match with a simple swiping mechanic. You can chat and even meet up in the real world, with social media now full of stories both good and bad about how people have met on the service.
And there’s also Palmer Luckey who was in at the ground floor of the new virtual reality revolution. He founded Oculus VR when he was 19 years old to help get some Kickstarter backing for a small number of VR headsets for loyal followers. Almost $2.5 million dollars and three years later and the headset is about to become a reality, with major software and hardware backing and a huge media presence.
That’s just a handful of the guests who have signed up for the Web Summit which will include speakers from Facebook, Slack, Stripe and Pixar. The event runs from the 3rd to the 5th of November 2015 at the RDS in Dublin.
