Batman Arkham Knight has been earning rave reviews for its gameplay and gorgeous visuals... at least on consoles.

Arkham Knight Update - Batgirl DLC for PC won't be coming soon

On PC the game has suffered one of the worst launches in recent memory, with customers reporting a title which was barely playable on a range of machines. The problem was so bad that Warner Bros eventually decided to take the game off shelves - that's a massively significant move and one without precedent in the industry.

A few weeks on and a series of patches have started to make the game playable but it seems the woes of PC players aren't over yet. We've now heard that the proposed Batgirl DLC - which arrives on PS4 and Xbox One this week - won't be arriving on PC in the same timeframe. At the time of writing, it simply doesn't have a release date, and that's because all efforts are currently on getting the game working first.

That's the right priority to have but you have to wonder how much money Warner Bros could potentially have made on the PC version and how much cash has now been spent trying to fix it. The whole situation is likely to prove a massive loss for the company, especially with the game still off shelves. That said, they've offered a strong level of customer service throughout this process, which has its own value for the return of gamers in the future.
