Free PlayStation Plus games now update first Tuesday of each month

Sony is bringing its European PlayStation Plus releases in line with North America with the announcement that the free games will be refreshed on the first Tuesday of every month.

European users will no longer have to wait an extra day to get their hands on their free games. Previously, the European PS Store would update on Wednesday, the day after the North American store. Unfortunately, it works against European PlayStation Plus members this month, as the first Tuesday falls on the 7th of July.

EU PlayStation blog manager Fred Dutton wrote, “Hey folks. As of this month, Plus games go live in both EU and US on the first Tuesday of the month (no longer Wednesday in EU)."
