VIDEO: You can now get Microsoft Word and Excel on Android phones

Microsoft's products may be uqiquitous on desktop but they aren't as widely available on smartphones. That's about to change with the introduction of the Office suite for Android phones, finally!

Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint have all launched in fully-featured versions on the Google Play Store. The apps came to tablets previously, adding to the wide ecosystem which Microsoft wants to promote and making it easier to take your work with you whenever and wherever you need it most.

The launch follows a five week preview period for Office for Android which was spread across 83 countries. That feedback directly informed the final release, including making it easier to sync with services like Google Drive and Box as well as help with navigating around the apps.
