How will the Xbox One backward compatibility work? We've got the details

That's pretty amazing, especially for those gamers who have a massive back catalogue of games and don't really have room for two enormous consoles on their shelves. The actual functionality will be arriving on the Xbox One before the end of 2015, with 100 top Xbox 360 titles already chosen. Microsoft has been talking more about exactly how the backwards compatibility will work - with the overview being that you'll pop in an Xbox 360 disk and it will trigger a download for digital code. Naturally it's a lot more complicated than that, and actually involves the Xbox One creating and running a full Xbox 360 emulator. Which is very cool indeed.
