Skype can now translate French and German in real time

Skype Translator now supports six languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Mandarin, and Spanish. That should cater for nearly 30 percent of the world’s native speakers.

The app uses a modified version of the Skype Windows 8 app to translate spoken words into text or audio. It enables people who speak two different languages to hold a conversation and the most intriguing aspect of it is that it works in real time.
