Microsoft shows off new Windows 10 Music app
Users of this early version can get a glimpse of features as they're rolled out (which mostly involves a lot of daily updates!) and the latest is the all new Music app. You'll have to search for 'Music Preview' to find it in the store and it will intall alongside your existing Music app, just to make sure nothing gets messed up while Microsoft works on the final release. The new design is dark and circle based and looks a little bit like Spotify. That said, it also has a lot in common with the overall look and feel of their current slate of dashboards, like what you'll find on the Xbox One. At the moment, the software lets you browse your music collection, including items you've bought from iTunes and (of course) your very important Xbox Music catalog. You can also rip CDs, set up playlists - all the things you expect from a Music app basically. It's thought that the final version will have a white and black theme which you can choose from, all part of the full release of Windows 10 which is due in Summer 2015.
