How to watch Microsoft Build 2015
Microsoft’s Build event gets underway today with new products, software, and services likely to be shown off. The keynote gets underway at 16:30 GMT and you can watch it all on the live webscast.What can you expect to see from the event? Windows 10 should feature prominently. While the public has been able to preview Windows 10, there are many features that not everyone has seen.We are likely to hear more about Project Spartan, the replacement to Internet Explorer. The fate of the old browser may also be clarified and it could even get a new name to make it seem a little fresher.Despite Microsoft talking about Windows 10 for quite some time at this stage, we still don’t actually know when it will be released. That should change during the keynote presentation.What will likely be the biggest news of the day is that Microsoft has been investigating ways of bringing Android apps to Windows. It has apparently found a solution, which could mean an influx of new apps.A new flagship Lumia device isn’t expected until Windows 10 arrives on handsets. But hopefully Microsoft will talk about some of its ideas for the future of the brand.Finally, we will hear more about HoloLens, a smart glasses unit that can produce holograms, and Office as a platform.
