Review - Sony Xperia SP
The mid-range Android handset market is becoming more and more congested, but Sony is hoping to save everyone the effort of comparing the various options by releasing the Xperia SP. Technically it falls into the mid-range market, but it packs a fair amount of power and an 8-megapixel camera to boot.
The Xperia SP is built well and it looks good, as you’d expect thanks to Sony’s recent portfolio. It bears a clear perspex bar at the bottom, which flashes a variety of colours to let you know about incoming calls, messages and other notifications. It can be a little gimmicky, but also quite practical, especially as the colours can be customised depending on the notification. And speaking of colours, the Xperia SP is available in red, white and black.
