Professor Karina Doorley has been appointed to the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council, finance minister and Tánaiste Simon Harris announced on Friday.

Ms Doorley was appointed from a panel of shortlisted candidates set up following an open selection process  earlier this year. The appointment of Professor Doorley to the Council will fill a pre-existing vacancy when outgoing Council member, Professor Adele Bergin’s term of office came to an end on July 31 last.
