A downturn in export sales helped slow growth of manufacturing in Ireland in August, the latest AIB Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) showed.

A downturn in export sales helped slow growth of manufacturing in Ireland in August, the latest AIB Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) showed.

Data collected last month showed modestly higher production volumes in August but the rate of expansion and business growth at its weakest since January.
