According to the CSO, there were 35.5 million tonnes of goods received into Ireland while 15.6 million tonnes were forwarded to other countries

The volume of goods handled by Irish ports recovered well in 2024 increasing by 7% but still remains below figures seen during 2022, new data from the Central Statistics Office shows.

During 2022, all Irish ports combined managed over 53.3 million tonnes of goods which declined to 47.8 million during 2023. Data shows that during 2024, Irish ports handled 51 million tonnes of goods which is a 7% increase year-on-year.
