Strong start to 2025 for Irish factories with increasing output and new orders

Manufacturing conditions improve for the first time in three months

Irish factories and manufacturers began 2025 on a solid note recording an improvement in operating conditions for the first time in three months. 

The latest AIB Ireland Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index shows fresh expansions for both output and new orders. Confidence for the year ahead is also strongly optimistic, with many businesses planning to expand capacity.
