Wholesale electricity prices fell by 6.2% in the month to December 2024 and remain almost two-thirds lower than their peak in August 2022. 

New figures released by the Central Statistics Office on Wednesday show that despite recent falls, whole electricity prices remain almost 54% higher than in December 2023.
