The selected firms are to support the Central Bank in the assessment of applications from firms seeking authorisation for the provision of, or notifying that they intend to provide crypto-asset services.

The Central Bank is set to pay out an estimated €7.5m to experts to assist the bank in the regulation of crypto assets.

In the invitation to tender, the Central Bank is seeking firms to tender for a place on a multi-party framework agreement for the provision of expert services for Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR).
