Irish State has €13m invested in companies engaged in illegal Israeli settlements, committee hears 

ISIF's discretionary portfolio is managed by a third party, EOS at Federated Hermes, a US-headquartered stewardship service provider.

The Irish State has invested more than €13m into companies engaged in illegal Israeli settlements, as defined by a United Nations database which tracks the activities of such firms, an Oireachtas Committee has heard. 

Director of the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), Nick Ashmore told the Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach on Wednesday that by the end of 2023, it had eleven directly held positions totalling €4.2m in companies listed on the UN Database.
