Construction and building volumes fell for a third consecutive quarter at the end of 2023, dropping by 0.7% in the three months to December, new figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) reveal.

Latest figures show construction volumes fell by 6.3% in 2023 as the lack of scale of Irish housebuilders remains a major barrier to government housing targets.
