The Central Bank of Ireland has launched a new information campaign to raise awareness of personal finance scams, with a new 'SAFE' test offering consumers practical steps when considering buying a financial product or dealing with a firm online.
The Central Bank has warned fraudsters are targeting more, and a broader range of Irish consumers, with social media, false websites and cloning being increasingly used in fraudulent schemes.
