Shrinking domestic market sees Irish parcel volumes fall from pandemic peak

Of total revenue, 41% came from the domestic Irish market, with the outbound and inbound markets comprising 22% and 37% respectively.

The pandemic and resultant lockdowns saw parcel deliveries increase in 2020 and 2021, however, the Commission for Communications Regulations (ComReg) found that both revenue and volumes had fallen post-covid.

Revenue dropped by 9% in 2022 compared to a record high in 2021 of €962m, with the return to normality in 2022 seeing volume activity also drop notably by 14%.
