The cost-of-living crisis is the lead cause of anxiety and stress for employees with business owners concerned for staff wellbeing, the latest research from the laya healthcare Wellbeing Index has found.

The current cost of living crisis is now infiltrating the workplace with a staggering 85% of employees who have experienced anxiety in the past 6 months saying rising prices and money worries are the two biggest causes of stress right now. Notable for employers is the clearest indicator yet that financial worries among employees is impacting the employment market with some using money worries as an excuse to leave a job, and others feeling too scared to move.
