Irish households are reaching record levels of wealth due to the impact of the coronavirus with the average net worth per person now standing at more than €166,000.

Stable house prices, a large rise in deposits and a fall in debt has led to a record household net worth of €817bn in the second quarter of this year according to new figures from the Central Bank.
