The success of the Waterford Greenway has added to Dungarvan's appeal as a destination for family holidays and seasonal breaks, and the revamped Park Hotel is primed to take advantage. Dungarvan is also the focal point for the Waterford Festival of Food.

"This is a landmark investment for the Park Hotel and reflects our confidence in both the future of the hotel and the continued growth of Dungarvan as a family destination," said general manager Declan Moriarty. "We have designed these new rooms around the needs of today’s families while continuing to invest across the wider property to ensure every aspect of the guest experience continues to evolve. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests to enjoy everything the hotel and the wider region have to offer."
The Park, part of the Flynn Hotel Collection, first opened in 1990. The Park's Flynn Hotel Collection sister properties, the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny and The Old Ground Hotel in Ennis, have already put a focus on family holiday acommodation. The Park now follows suit, as 10 of the new rooms can accommodate two adults, two children and a baby, while 11 can accommodate two adults, three children and a baby. The room mix also includes a two-bedroom family suite suitable for two adults, two children, and a baby.
