Tesco Douglas store relaunches with Decathlon to follow 'in the coming weeks'

The store in the Cork suburb underwent a multimillion euro renovation

Tesco has officially relaunched its store in Douglas following a multi-million-euro refurbishment, with Cork's first Decathlon outlet to open there in the coming weeks. 

The store in the Cork suburb underwent a renovation as it was redesigned as a one-floor shopping destination. The first floor of the store will open as a Decathlon outlet. Decathlon's new Douglas store follows their entry into the Irish market with locations in Ballymun and O'Connell Street in Dublin, as well as Parkway Retail Park in Limerick, and will provide Cork customers with greater access to its extensive range of sports and outdoor products.

Meanwhile, the refreshed Tesco store features a new Tesco Mobile shop, a new look clothing department, enhanced health and beauty range, and an in-store bakery. "We're delighted to welcome customers back to a completely transformed store. The new layout creates a much more convenient and enjoyable shopping experience, with all departments now located on one floor," said manager Margaret Crean.
