Cork software firm Submit.com has brought in former Tánaiste Simon Coveney as an advisor as it eyes expansion across the UK and Europe.
Patrick Dineen's firm helps organisations simplify how they collect, manage and evaluate online submissions. Founded in 2015, the firm plays a key role in the digitisation of services across the local authority sector.Â
Its business accelerated during the pandemic. Today, Submit.com is widely used across Ireland and is working across virtually every local authority.Â
The firm worked with Cork City Council to move from a paper-based system to a digital one over a two-year period. During that time, 15,170 applications were processed through Submit.com.Â
By moving from a paper-based system to a fully digital process, the council achieved COâ‚‚ savings of 3,649.9kg, the equivalent of planting 174 trees.
Simon Coveney said the company is showing how smart technology can deliver practical reform, improve outcomes and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy. "Submit.com shows what can be achieved when technology is designed around real-world needs," he said.Â
"Whether in public services or the private sector, their focus on simplicity, better data and measurable impact is exactly what organisations require. This is an Irish company with strong foundations and real potential to grow nationally and across the UK and Europe, and I am delighted to be associated with them.”
CEO Patrick Dinneen said Submit.com was founded to make complex processes feel simple and intuitive for organisations and applicants. "Working with Simon Coveney brings valuable strategic insight as we continue to scale our platform across sectors and expand into new markets.”Â
"Submit.com is now focused on building on its strong Irish base while accelerating growth in the UK and Europe, supporting organisations that want to move away from fragmented, paper-based systems towards smarter, more sustainable digital solutions."
