Marks and Spencer is recalling a coffee cup after warning the item could crack or break during normal use.Â
The M&S Kelly Hoppen Debossed Cappuccino Cup was on sale from April 2025 until December. "The ceramic cup base may crack or break during normal use, causing sharp fragments that can lead to cuts or lacerations. If this occurs while the cup contains hot liquid, burns or scalds may result," said the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).Â
"Customers should stop using the product immediately."
The cups came in white, taupe, and black, and the affected products were on sale from April 2025 until last month. Around 53 of the products have been purchased in Ireland and are due for recall. The product is no longer available for sale online or in store.
The products can be returned to the nearest Marks and Spencer store to receive a full refund, the CCPC said.
The barcodes for the affected cups are: T34/1332B White 5242504; T34/1332B / Taupe / 5310845; and T34/1332B / Black / 5312375.Â
