Profits at Oliver Callan entertainment firm increase to €1.9m
In January 2024, Callan signed a two-year contract worth €150,000 a year to present the one hour 9am show on RTÉ Radio 1, formerly presented by Ryan Tubridy.
Accumulated profits at the entertainment firm owned by broadcaster, satirist and impressionist Oliver Callan last year increased to €1.9m.
New accounts filed by the Co Monaghan man’s Catchy Title Ltd show the company recorded post-tax profits of €92,173 last year.
The €92,173 post-tax profits are more than double the post-tax profits of €40,670 recorded in 2023.
The profits at the company last year resulted in accumulated profits rising from €1.81m to €1.9m.
Current assets at the company made up of cash and money owed to the firm by debtors increased from €1.16m to €1.24m.
The firm’s coffers have been boosted in recent years with Mr Callan having his own show on RTÉ.

He said at the time: “The main reason there was no negotiations was because I don't use an agent. I am my own agent."
He said: ”I do use a lawyer. And he's very good lawyer. He's a media contracts lawyer. So that was the kind of the gist of it... There wasn't any new wrangling. That would have taken time."
However, Callan has proved to be such a rating winner with listeners that bosses at RTÉ have decided to double the length of the show on Radio 1 to two hours, and recently announced the show is to move to an 11am slot in a shake up of the schedule.
The most recent JNLR figures from August show the show has 354,000 listeners each day, an 18,000 year-on-year increase.
The new accounts show the pay to directors last year increased from €36,000 to €52,026.
The book value of the company’s tangible assets fell from €741,626 to €732,424.
Along with the fees Callan earns from his radio presenting appearances on RTÉ, he also earns income from stand-up shows, along with his own productions for RTÉ.
Callan’s business received a boost with RTÉ commissioning 12 hours of his in 2024, while Callan’s Cathy Title firm was commissioned to a further 12 hours this year for .
The broadcaster set up the company in 2012 to capitalise on the lucrative earnings from his comedy.
