Apple has announced a major expansion of its renewables investment in Europe as part of efforts to cut the carbon footprint caused by customers powering and charging its devices.

The tech giant is supporting several large-scale solar and wind farms that are currently in development in Greece, Italy, Latvia, Romania, and Poland. This builds on its previously announced investment in the Castano solar farm outside the Spanish city of Segovia, which started operating earlier this year and can power around 76,500 households.
