Tesco saw its market share in the Republic of Ireland grow for the third consecutive year in 2024, rising to almost 24%, the supermarket giant said on Thursday.

Publishing its interim results, the company, which is led by Cork man Ken Murphy, said like-for-like sales grew by almost 5% in the Republic, underpinned by the supermarket's continued rollout of its 'fresh first' store refresh programme, as well as warmer weather year-on-year.
